
RFY CIC has been awarded funding from the NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board via South Yorkshire Community Foundation to run a Maternity Research Project.
The care board know that some birthing persons and families in South Yorkshire are more likely to:
•Have poorer experiences of maternity care
•Feel unheard or unsupported
•Experience worse health outcomes for themselves or their babies
Their aim is to change this by hearing directly from communities who are most affected and thats where ourselves and you come in.
There are 2 ways to take part, you can choose either:

The stories, experiences, and feedback collected will be used to:
•Support service improvement work across South Yorkshire maternity and neonatal services
•Help NHS leaders understand lived experience, beyond statistics and surveys
•Shape future priorities, engagement approaches, and commissioning decisions
RFY will attend a Listening Event on Tuesday 28 April 2026 at Gulliver’s Kingdom, Rother Valley which will be attended by senior NHS leaders and service providers and provide a space to creatively share findings.
